PROPERTY OFFICER
Selection criteria
1. High level of interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in both Lao and English. Ability to translate and interpret between Lao and English. Note: Short listed applicants will be tested for Lao and English skills.
2. Ability to interpret regulations and guidelines and an ability to act on and provide advice in accordance with the appropriate instructions.
3. Ability to act independently and as a member of a small team, including an ability to set priorities and take appropriate action. Ability to undertake new task quickly, be flexible and respond effectively to challenges.
5. High level of computer literacy particularly in the use of Microsoft Word, Access and Excel and an ability to develop new skills in the use of other computer systems. Note: Short listed applicants will be tested for word processing and spreadsheet skills.
6. Ability to manage resources, including human, financial, property or other resources.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be able to work as a locally engaged staff member at a diplomatic mission in Laos, possess a valid passport or be able to obtain a valid passport and be willing to travel within Laos and regionally as required.
All employment at the Australian Embassy is subject to satisfactory medical and security vetting.
