Friendship Medal Award handover ceremony
Geneva - H.E. Mr. Hamish McCormick, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Australia to the World Trade Organisation (left), receives the Friendship Medal Award from H.E. Mr. Thongphane Savanphet, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Lao PDR (right), at the Australian Permanent Mission in Geneva, Switzerland on 9 December 2014. The award was given to the Permanent Mission of Australia in thanks for its contribution to enhancing relations and cooperation for the development of the Lao PDR and for the valuable support and assistance to the Lao PDR in its efforts to accede to the World Trade Organisation.
